If you've tried a fan in there
A fan cools you. Not the room.
Move a few feet away and you're hot again.
A fan just pushes the hot air around. It can't bring cold air in.
Why it happens
Why that room stays hot
Your AC sends cold air through ducts. The rooms close to it get the most. The room at the end gets the least.
By the time it gets there, it's a trickle.
Same house. Same time. Same AC.
Ten-second check
Put your hand on that vent.
Do it while the AC is on.
Air coming out, but weak?
This fixes that. It pulls the cold air into the room.
No air at all?
Don't buy this. The duct is blocked, and no fan can fix that.

Before you order
Measure the hole, not the cover.
Take off the old cover. Measure the hole under it. Most are 4x10.
Both sizes are 10 inches long. Measure the short side. That's the one that's different.
Wrong size? We'll swap it for free.
Measure again when it comes. If it's the wrong size, we'll send the right one.
Fitting it
Two screws and an outlet.
Unscrew the old one, drop this one in. Same hole, same two screws.

Set the temperature you want for that room.

No ductwork. No tools you don’t own. Nobody in your house.
Being straight with you
When this won't help
This works if air comes out of the vent, but it's weak. It can't fix a vent with no air at all. That's a blocked duct.
It won't make a sunny room the coolest room in the house. It will make it a room you can use.
What else you could do
Your other options
Cools you while you sit in front of it. The room stays hot.
Makes every other room too cold to fix one room.
Fixing the ducts can cost thousands. And it won’t happen this week.
What most people do. For years.

What people say
Back bedroom is over the garage and it's been the hot one since we moved in. Put one of these in three weeks ago. It isn't magic. That room still runs a bit warmer than the rest of the house. But the gap went from nine degrees to about two, and that's the difference between usable and not. Ten minutes with a screwdriver.
Had a box fan and a tower fan running in there every day from June. Haven't plugged either one in since this went in.
The unit does what it says. The instructions that came with it weren't great and I had it on the wrong setting for the first two days, which made me think it was broken. Once I sorted that out it's been fine. Four stars because the setup could be clearer.
Her room is at the end of the hall and it was always the worst one in the afternoon. I'd been running a fan at her all night and still going in to check. Room sits about five degrees cooler than it used to. I stopped checking.
Honest review. It moved my office down about two degrees, which I can feel but isn't what I was hoping for. Turns out I've got a duct issue that needs a real fix. That's on me, not the product. Their own page told me to check the airflow first and I skipped that part.
Did the bonus room first. Worked well enough that I ordered another for the guest room, which I should have done in the first order.
I got a quote for just under $3,000 to rebalance the ductwork for one room and put it off for two summers. This was eighty-something dollars and a screwdriver. Wish I'd tried the cheap thing first.
The explanation on their site about the room being last on the duct run was the first time anyone had put it that way. Two HVAC guys looked at it and neither said that. The unit helped, but honestly the explanation was worth something on its own.
My fault entirely. I measured the cover instead of the hole and got a size that didn't fit. They swapped it without any fuss, but I lost a week. The page does tell you to measure the opening. Read that part.
That's it. That's the review.
